Dr. Andrew Weinstein is a nationally-recognized, board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery of the breast, body, and face. Education
and Training
Dr. Weinstein graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University where he was pre-med and studied sculpture. He earned his medical degree with honors at NYU School of Medicine and master’s degree in clinical research methods at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Dr. Weinstein went on to complete a six-year residency in plastic surgery at Weill Cornell and Columbia University Medical Centers of New York-Presbyterian Hospital. In his final year of residency, Dr. Weinstein was selected to serve as Administrative Chief Resident for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Following residency, Dr. Weinstein elected to pursue an additional year of training dedicated exclusively to aesthetic surgery at Emory Aesthetic Center under the leadership of world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Foad Nahai. During this prestigious fellowship, endorsed by The Aesthetic Society, Dr. Weinstein subspecialized in cosmetic surgery of the breast, body, and face.

Dr. Weinstein is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society, New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. He maintains active privileges at Weill Cornell Medical Center of New York–Presbyterian Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, and Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital. Dr. Weinstein has been selected annually to the list of Castle Connolly Top Doctors and SuperDoctor’s Top New York Physicians.
Leadership Experience
Dr. Weinstein is Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and Co-director of Aesthetic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine where he leads a monthly academic conference on aesthetic surgery techniques for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Reflecting his commitment to safety and excellence in plastic surgery, he recently published a textbook chapter entitled, “Safety in Body Contouring.” Dr. Weinstein is also actively involved in the leading professional societies for plastic surgeons as a frequently invited speaker at regional and national conferences as well as a member of both the Application Review Committee and the Patient Safety Committee for The Aesthetic Society.
Surgical Innovations
Dr. Weinstein recognized early on that a deeper understanding of clinical research methods would enable him to provide his patients with the safest and most effective treatment options available. This led him to complete a master’s degree at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where he was awarded the Robert P. Abelson Prize for Excellence. Dedicated to achieving the best cosmetic results for his patients, Dr. Weinstein has developed innovative techniques to minimize incisions in breast and body procedures including a patent-pending surgical instrument with the purpose of creating the most naturally-appearing belly button after tummy tuck surgery.

Publications
Dr. Weinstein has authored over 42 textbook chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, and has been invited to present his work at both regional and national plastic surgery meetings. Dr. Weinstein’s research has also been honored with numerous awards, including the coveted American Society of Plastic Surgeons Top Paper award and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal’s Best Overall Cosmetic Paper award for his clinical studies with Dr. David Hidalgo.
Dr. Weinstein serves as a peer-reviewer for the three top plastic surgery journals—Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery—and is on the Editorial Board of Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
